Excitement As First Batch Of Nigerians Fleeing Sudan War Land In Abuja [PHOTOS]

  • The first set of Nigerians escaping the war in Sudan has arrived in Abuja.

  • They off from Aswan, Egypt at about 4 pm in the afternoon.

  • They landed at the Federal Capital Territory at about 11:40 pm on Wednesday.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the first batch of Nigerians fleeing the ongoing war in Sudan has arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.

The 376 returnees, who took off from Aswan, Egypt, after a tumultuous journey crossing the border, were on Wednesday airlifted by the Nigerian Air Force on the NAF C-130H aircraft and Air Peace at about 4 pm in the afternoon.

They landed at the Federal Capital Territory at 11:40 pm against the 11:23 pm scheduled for a touchdown at the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport.

“The first batch of Nigerians who fled war-torn Sudan arrived via military jet C13 at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 2340HRS with an estimate of 376 evacuees.”
