In a tweet on Thursday, the former Nigerian President hailed Yar’Adua as an exemplary leader who lived selflessly and impartially, with a strong commitment to peace, justice, and accountability.

“We will continue to remember him for his developmental strides and his commitment to the peace and progress of Nigeria,” he said.
On this day thirteen years ago , our nation lost a great and selfless leader President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua . He was a man of peace , justice and accountability.

Although it’s been 13 years since Yar’Adua’s untimely death, his memory still lives on in the hearts of many who believe he was the greatest president Nigeria has ever had.
Umaru Musa Yar’Adua served as the President of Nigeria from May 2007 until his unfortunate demise on May 5, 2010.
