The Multimedia Department of Eko Hot Blog, the leading Lagos-based media organisation, is hiring young, skilled, and well-motivated team players who are willing to challenge themselves and gain commensurate rewards.
PRODUCER
Responsibilities: The producer oversees one or more aspects of video production, including the creative control of production. They are expected to regularly conceive new programmes that will drive audience growth.
Requirements: Proven experience in video production, with strong analytical, creative and organisational skills. Candidate must possess proficiency in modern, digital journalism. The successful candidate must be based in Lagos State.
PRESENTER
Responsibilities: The presenter writes content and presents them for a video production. They will also interview guests, celebrities, and other personalities at events.
Requirements: Relevant experience in presenting. The successful candidate must have good analytical and speaking skills. Also, they must be based in Lagos State.
VIDEO EDITOR
Responsibilities: The video editor manages material such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to produce a final video product. This means following an outline or script and assembling the footage into one cohesive video or film. The video editor is expected to deliver high-quality final products.
Requirements: Proven experience in video editing. The successful candidate must be proficient in operating relevant video editing software. Furthermore, they must be creative and based in Lagos State.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Responsibilities: The graphic designer visualises and creates graphics, including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos. Their graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message.
Requirements: Proven experience in graphic designing. A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics. Creative flair and good communication skills. The successful candidate can work remotely.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Responsibilities: The social media manager will post links to stories as they are published. They are expected to build a social media presence by maintaining a solid online presence. The social media handler is also expected to manage our online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement. Lastly, they will occasionally coach employees company-wide on content creation best practices.
Requirements: The successful candidate must have social media marketing experience. They must have experience in developing social media strategies and working with a marketing plan. The successful applicant must also have proven ability to build social media communities. Understanding of graphic design principles is an advantage.
