EKO HOT BLOG reports that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has expressed his condolences following the death of renowned business magnate, Otunba Subomi Balogun, at the age of 89.
Balogun, the founder of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) and a prominent figure in the business world, passed away last Friday in London, United Kingdom.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Peter Obi paid tribute to the late Balogun, describing him as a visionary leader and a titan in the business industry whose indelible impact on the nation’s economy will always be remembered.
Peter Obi emphasized Balogun’s belief in the importance of hard work and enterprise as the pathway to success.
The former Governor of Anambra State extended his heartfelt condolences to the entire Balogun family, the management and staff of FCMB, and the government and people of Ogun State, recognizing the profound loss they have suffered.
