He added that the party leadership had decided to isolate Wike and make him inconsequential in the PDP’s affairs. According to Osadolor, Wike’s recent public appearances suggest that he is always craving the spotlight, regardless of the cost to his image as an opposition political leader.
Osadolor noted that the PDP leadership had ignored Wike because “there are more ways to deal with people apart from sanctioning them,” and that they were technically avoiding him. He also claimed that if Wike wanted to tell the truth, he would acknowledge that he is no longer a member of the party. In response, Chris Finebone, a chieftain of the PDP and former Commissioner for Information and Communications in Rivers State, dismissed Osadolor’s comments as wishful thinking, stating that Wike remained a bona fide member of the opposition party.

Finebone stated that Osadolor did not have any authority to speak for the party, and that Wike was still a member. He described the accusation that Wike had been hobnobbing with Tinubu as petty and frivolous.
