Eko Hot Blog reports that Olanrewaju Smart Wasiu, the Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has denied reports that he announced the appointment of his principal as the CoS to President Bola Tinubu.
Earlier on Thursday, some reports had claimed that Gbajabiamila’s appointment was announced by Wasiu via his Facebook page.

“The decision to pick Gbajabiamila was said to have been made by the president after evaluating all possible candidates aspiring for the post among his loyalists,” he allegedly wrote.
However, the speaker’s aide disowned the purported announcement in a statement on his Facebook page.
He described the reports as fake news, saying nothing like the statement credited to him was posted on his Facebook account.
“Fake news is a monster 👹 that must be curbed. Kindly ignore any fake news quoting this account for posting about any political appointment. Nothing of such was ever posted here,” Wasiu wrote.
