10th NASS: Tajudeen Abbas Remains Preferred Candidate, Ignore Rumours – Rep.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Tajudeen Abass is still in the race for the speakership position of the House of Representatives.
Recall the Leadership Newspaper earlier reported that there are signs of new efforts to replace Honourable Abbas with a different candidate as the preferred candidate for the position.

The report added that in the absence of a last-minute change of heart, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would introduce their new candidate, Hon. Sani Jaji as a replacement for Tajudeen Abbas.
However, a member of the House of Representatives who spoke with Eko Hot Blog correspondent in confidence and under the condition of anonymity said the report is fake, and urged the public to disregard the rumours circulating about the alleged replacement of Abbas.

Earlier, Mr Abbas who is the APC preferred candidate reiterated his readiness to ensure a united 10th Assembly that would work towards actualising the programmes and policies of the government.
