VIDEO: Lagos Police Arrest 18-Year-Old For Stealing Iron Fasteners From Agege Railway Track
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Police Command has arrested Ayo Olamide, an 18-year-old, for stealing iron fasteners from the Agege railway track in Lagos.
The police spokesperson in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed that the suspect was arrested by police officers from Elere Division around 5am on Saturday.

“At about 5am today, foot patrol officers from Elere Division apprehended 18-year-old Ayo Olamide while removing iron fasteners from the Agege railway track,” Hundeyin wrote on Twitter.
He added that investigation was ongoing.
In a video obtained by Eko Hot Blog, Olamide admitted to stealing the fasteners, which he valued at only N2,000, to fend for himself.

According to the suspect, the police caught him on his third attempt.
He explained that there are many others like him who steal components of the rail tracks and sell to buyers in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State.
