Lagos Police Arrest Two After Cutlass-wielding Youths Clash In Ajegunle

Eko Hot Blog reports that men of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspects over a clash between opposing youths on Aroworade and Olaleye streets in Ajegunle, Lagos.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made the disclosure in a statement on Saturday evening.

He named the apprehended suspects as Quadri Yekini, 32, and James Segun, 22, respectively.

Hundeyin, disclosed that most of the youths, who were wielding cutlasses, fled upon sighting policemen who quickly arrived the scene to prevent any casualty.

He added that Yekini and Segun will be arraigned after police investigation concludes.

“Yesterday, July 7, 2023, youths from Aroworade and Olaleye streets in Ajegunle engaged in street fights. Men of Ajegunle Division responded swiftly, preventing any casualty,” the police spokesperson in Lagos said.

“Although the miscreants fled upon sighting the police, two of them were arrested.
