Badagry Youths Protest Against Sacked LASU Lecturers

Youths under the aegis of Voice of The Mass Movement, VVM, on Friday staged a protest at Badagry to register their displeasure at the sack of five lecturers of the Lagos State University, LASU.

The concerned youths called for an urgent intervention of the government to salvage the Institution and restore the lost glory of the citadel.

Speaking to newsmen, the President of VVM, Comrade Hunwi Selome, said that the sacked lecturers are men of reputable characters especially Dr. Dansu, whom most youths look up to as a role model.

Comrade Hunwi however called on the State Assembly to set up a visitation panel in order to unravel the cause of the crisis, while also appealing for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s intervention.

Secretary of VVM, Comrade Hunpevi Semako, pointed out that the sack of Dr. Dansu, an indegene of Badagry and one of the affected lecturers, could leas to loss of enthusiasm from the youth as most young men in Badagry see him as one the shinning lights of Badagry.

The Public Relations Officer of VVM, Comrade Solomon Taseyon, urged the relevant authorities to quickly reinstate the five ASUU-LASU officials illegally dismissed.
