Councillor Provides Education Materials For Pupils, Gifts Cash To Widows
Councillor representing Shogunle, Ward E1, at the Legislative arm in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, Hon Femi Mustapha, on Monday provided educational support for pupils and welfare packages for widows in the ward.
Pupils from different schools within the ward were given 10 Exercise Books each while the widows, numbering over 200, went home with various food items and cash gifts.
Speaking after the presentation, Hon Mustapha said that the welfare of widows is a priority to him as most go through a lot to cater for themselves and their children.

He said, “The welfare of widows is also something dear to my heart, especially the aged ones among them. It is a huge burden for many of them to cater for themselves and their children and this is the reason why putting smiles on their faces with the little I can do has become inevitable.”
He went further: “Education plays a pivotal role in the society and the students must be well equipped and supported in achieving this. This is what necessitated the presentation of 10 exercise books each to all pupils in public primary schools in Shogunle.”
He assured that the dividends of democracy will not be limited to just education and welfare packages for the widows. He said that he would touch other areas such as sports, entertainment, health and environment.
The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Hon Idris Ariyo, praised the Councillor for
bringing the dividends of democracy to the people via quality representation.
