OAU Alumni Donates Medical Equipment To Lagos Hospital

The Lagos branch of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ife Alumni Association, under the auspices of Great Ife Mainland Metro (GIMM) has donated to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) various set of medical equipment.
Among the equipment donated were drip stands, suction machine, pulse odometer; clinical thermometers and syringes, among others.
According to the Chairman of GIMM, Mrs Adekunbi Taylor, the donation was part of measures aimed at providing humanitarian service in hospitals and medical support for patients.
She said that they also provided funds to one of the patients, Mrs Blessing Oko, who could not pay her medical bills, adding that funds were also given to other patients.

“This was informed by the need to support patients who could not afford to pay their medical bills, show love to them and be of help to the needy.
“The gestures would be carried out at least twice every year, other projects are underway and would be completed through the collective efforts of the GIMM team,“she added.
In response, The Assistant Director of Nursing Services, Mrs Ogundeko, who received the team on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, expressed satisfaction with the gesture.
