Tinubu Launches 2023 NBA Conference With Record Participation Of 17,000 Lawyers
EKO HOT BLOG reports that President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the 2023 Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Abuja.
Mr. Yakubu Maikyau, the NBA President, stated that this would be the world’s largest gathering of legal practitioners, with over 17,000 registered participants.
The conference’s theme, ‘Getting It Right, Charting The Course Of Nigeria’s Nation Building’, will focus on security, the economy, and justice administration.
The importance of lawyers’ role in nation-building was emphasized, and concerns were raised about improper analysis of court proceedings on social media.
Additionally, issues of justice access and law reforms were discussed in the conference, attended by 139,000 lawyers called to the Nigerian Bar thus far.
