Kaduna Governor Orders Probe into Killing of 7 Worshippers In Mosque
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has ordered the police to investigate the killing of seven worshippers in a mosque in Saya-Saya village in Ikara Local Government Area of the state.
The attack took place on Friday night, when the bandits invaded the village while Muslim worshippers were observing the Isha’i (Sunset) prayers.

The bandits reportedly gunned down the vigilante leader, the Imam leading the prayer and three other worshippers, before killing two other residents in another location in the area.
The governor, who described the attack as wicked and barbaric, vowed that the government would not rest on its oars until the perpetrators were brought to justice.
He has sent a delegation led by Samuel Aruwan, Overseer of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, to condole the people of Saya-Saya village and assess the security situation in the area.

The delegation will also advise the government on how to prevent such attacks from happening in the future.
The governor has also called on the residents of the state to remain calm and vigilant, and to cooperate with security agencies in the ongoing investigation.
