Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, has returned to his duty post after being sworn in by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, urging staff to support him in giving wider publicity to the programmes of the Lagos State Government.
He was one of the 37 commissioners and special advisers Sanwo-Olu swore in on Friday.

Addressing management staff at the brief ceremony held to welcome him back after the first term in office on Friday, Omotoso appreciated staff for the support he enjoyed during the last four years.
“After cabinet was dissolved and I watched the activities of staff from outside government, I can confidently say that staff of the Ministry have done well in communicating the programmes of the Sanwo-Olu administration on all official platforms of the Lagos State Government,” the commissioner said.
Imploring staff not to rest on their oars, Omotoso said there is still a lot of work to be done to ensure that the achievements of Lagos are propagated to reach the grassroots.
“We need to continually tell Lagosians about the benefits of the Blue Line and the Red Line that will be commissioned anytime from now. Everyone is talking about the Blue Rail that is the first of its kind in Africa,” he stated.
The returning commissioner said the government recently commissioned projects in the education and health sectors, noting that work progress on ongoing projects must always be disseminated to the public.
Omotoso tasked members of staff to come up with creative ideas that could enhance the performance of the team in the Ministry, promising that outstanding contributions would be acknowledged and rewarded.
Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Olumide Sogunle, pledged the support of staff to the Commissioner in advancing the cause of the ministry.
“If we succeed, we all get the accolades as a team, and if we fail, we all take the blame. Therefore, we have no option but to work together to achieve the goals set for outstanding performance,” he said.
