Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Attack Benue Links Bus, Butcher Passengers
EKO HOT BLOG reports the Benue State Command of the Nigeria Police has confirmed that gunmen suspected of being Fulani herdsmen hijacked a Benue Links bus transporting passengers to Otukpo via the Naka road in Gwer West LGA, at Tyolaha village.
One passenger and several others sustained degrees of injuries during the assault by the marauders.

Sources who also confirmed the incident to Daily Post said the recent attack is not the first time that marauding herdsmen have carried out such heinous acts against passengers along this dilapidated road.
Tyolaha village has become a hotbed for persistent attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen, the residents lamented, saying approximately 15 herdsmen easily overpowered their victims, preventing any resistance and allowing them to escape without difficulty.
Many residents as said to have fled and farmers relocated from the said route as a result of the incessant attacks. The remaining individuals are now appealing to the government and security forces for protection.

Confirming the recent attack to the media house, Benue Police Public Relations Officer, Anekwe Catherine, said: “A bus belonging to Benue Links which was heading to Otukpo was attacked by unknown gunmen and three persons including women were wounded and one person died this morning.”
