This memorable occasion bore witness to a spectacular performance by none other than the King’s Voice himself, Labi Obey, the son of the iconic Nigerian musician Commander Ebenezer Obey.
As Labi Obey took the stage, an electrifying ambiance enveloped the gathering, his captivating music resonating through the hearts of all in attendance, and leaving an indelible imprint of joy and merriment in the air. Speaking to Ekohotblog correspondence, Dr Peter Awofodu, a son of the departed, eloquently extolled his late mother as the epitome of an “ideal mother.” He spoke of her unwavering care, boundless love, and sagacious guidance, emphasizing the profound and transformative influence she wielded over not only his life but that of his siblings as well. “Her nurturing presence had the remarkable power to shape and direct our life trajectories in a manner that can only be described as truly remarkable.” he said
