NLC Labels Imo Governor Uzodinma As ‘Terrorist’ Amidst Attack On President

In a post captioned “IMO STATE CITIZENS ARE IN DANGER, THE CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER IS NOW A TERRORIST” via its official X handle on Saturday, the labour union said that the attack on its President, Joe Ajaero, was not just an attack on his personality but on the legal rights of the citizens of Imo State.
“The Attack on the NLC President is not just an attack on his personality but an attack on the legal rights of a citizen by a governor who was meant to secure the citizen,” the post read.

This online media platform recalls that Ajaero was reportedly abducted and brutalized on Wednesday by men of the Imo State Police Command.
The NLC President was rushed to the hospital as a result of the beating.
The police, however, denied claims that it brutalized Ajaero, claiming that it took the labour union leader into preventive custody following reports of planned mob action against him.
