Ahmad questions why Yesufu hasn’t disclosed the financial report for Obi’s presidential campaign.
In October 2023, the Labour Party initiated a website, urging Nigerians globally to contribute to the campaign.
Presidential candidate Obi, in December 2022, appealed for assistance, sharing bank account details on Twitter (now X).
However, the statement of account for the campaign remains pending, ten months post-election, leaving Nigerians in anticipation.
Aisha, who was one of the signatories to the Obi/Baba-Ahmed Campaign Organisation, in September 2023 promised to make the statement of account for the campaign public after the conclusion of Obi’s petition at the Supreme Court.
And dragging her on X on Thursday afternoon, Bashir, who contested for a House of Representatives seat in Kano State and lost, tweeted, “It’s quite unexpected that Aisha Yesufu, who often portrays herself as the epitome of integrity, is now facing calls from left, right and center to fulfill her own promises.

“Despite her earlier commitment to disclose the financial statement for the Peter Obi presidential campaign immediately after the Supreme Court judgment, months passed now, and there has been no word from her.
“The delay in releasing the statement, even if she does it tomorrow, makes it lose its initial honor and timeliness. Keep your promise.”
