Reflecting on his journey as a Molusian, Kaka expressed pride in the school’s transformation initiated by former and current executives of MOCOSA.

He highlighted the need for sustained support from alumni and government to bridge educational gaps.

He said, “I’m an ex-Molusian and a proud ‘only the best’. My student registration number is 1885. I spent a year and half stint here for HSC in 1973’74.

“By the time I left, there were deterioration at all levels, until the time the old student decided to return to the school to confer benefits that has pleased almighty God to give to us, to the institution.

“So, it was resolved by the former and current executives that there must be a turnaround for Molusi College, so that the fountain we have drunk from, we have decided to come and replenish it. The result is what we have seen today, a brand new model school that is inspiring, making the students proud to be enrolled here.

“We are not doing badly at all. All hands are on deck and I’m sure we are ready to take Molusi College to a greater height”.

Kaka underscored UNESCO’s recommendation of allocating 26% of the annual budget to education, contrasting it with the current allocation below 18%.

He stressed the importance of government intervention to ensure a solid educational foundation for future generations, stating that,

“The government is trying its best, but its best is not enough. We realized that the government cannot do it alone because education is very expensive but what is more expensive is ignorance. No matter how expensive education is, the gap must be filled up.

“That is where, the old students will continue to do their bit. We shall continue to pray for more prosperity for the old students, so they can do more, the gap is much and to leave for government alone is to sentence our young ones to ignorance which is more expensive.

“Government need to rise and help. UNESCO prescribed 26% of annual budget of all budget dedicated to education but what we have here is not up to 18%. So government should try and pump more money into the education, let them lay a good foundation for the future of the younger ones.”

Kaka praised Molusi College’s motto, “Only the Best,” emphasizing its role in nurturing excellence.

He advocated for inclusivity in the school anthem, highlighting the need to accommodate all religions practiced in the country.

The senator lauded the planning committee for their dedication to the school’s development, wishing them success in their endeavors.
