Rivers Reps Caucus Urges U.S. And Nigeria To Probe Helicopter Crash that Claimed Herbert Wigwe’s Life

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Rivers State caucus in the House of Representatives has called for a comprehensive investigation by the United States Government and relevant agencies into the helicopter crash that led to the tragic demise of Access Holdings Chief Executive Officer, Herbert Wigwe, along with his wife and son.

The caucus, led by Dunamenne Dekor, also urged the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant Nigerian agencies to participate in the investigation.

In a statement released in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Dekor expressed condolences to the Wigwe family and emphasized the need for a thorough inquiry into the crash.

“Our hearts are heavy with sorrow as we extend our deepest condolences to the Wigwe family and loved ones during this distressing time.”

Describing Dr. Herbert Wigwe as a prominent figure in the financial, banking, and educational sectors, the statement highlighted his leadership at Access Holdings Plc and the lasting impact he made on the industry.

The caucus mourned the loss of a nationalist, lover of Rivers State, and visionary leader.

The caucus called on both the United States and Nigerian governments to investigate the crash and make their findings public.

“The Caucus is calling on the United States of America and its relevant agencies, the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and all relevant institutions and agencies of government to thoroughly investigate the cause of this ill-fated helicopter crash in California and make public its findings.”
