U-17 World Cup: Golden Eaglets Suffers First Defeat
The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria on Friday suffers their first defeat at the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil.
The Many Garba’s boys who had already booked the knockout stage ticket lost out 1-2 to Australia in the third match.
Despite the loss, the five-time World Cup winners topped the Group B standings with six points.

On Tuesday, the 2013 and 2015 winners came from behind to claim all three points in a 3-2 win over South Africans Ecuador.
Noah Botic gave the Joeys the lead in the 13th minute of the clash before Olawale pegged them back eight minutes later.
It ended 1-1 in the first half but the Australians struck again via Botic who slammed home a penalty in the 54th minute.
