Farewell To The Wigwe Family: Funeral Plans Unveiled For Beloved Trio

Eko Hot Blog reports that the family of late businessman Herbert Wigwe has announced funeral plans for Wigwe, his wife Chizi, and their son Chizoba, who died in a tragic helicopter accident in the United States.

The funeral ceremonies will commence on Monday, March 4, 2024 with an event titled “Celebrating Herbert Wigwe – A Professional Legacy” at Eko Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. Additional commemorative events honoring Chizi and Chizoba Wigwe will take place at Eko Hotel on March 5.

A night of tributes is scheduled for March 6, followed by a combined service of songs on March 7 at the RCCG Resurrection Parish in Lekki. The Christian wake-keeping will occur on March 8 at Wigwe University in Isiokpo, and the combined funeral service will be held on March 9 at RCCG Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo.

Herbert Wigwe was the Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc. He perished alongside his wife, son and business magnate Abimbola Ogunbanjo in a helicopter crash in the United States weeks ago. The family has now finalized arrangements to honor their lives and legacies across several days of commemorative events in Lagos and Rivers State.
