The ‘Cash App’ hitmaker shared his journey during the latest episode of the ‘In My Opinion’ podcast, shedding light on his past struggles with marijuana consumption. Shmurda disclosed that he made the conscious decision to stop smoking weed four years ago out of fear for the future.
Despite continuing to smoke cigarettes, Shmurda emphasized that he no longer indulges in weed due to the adverse effects it had on his mental well-being. Contrary to popular belief that weed enhances creativity, Shmurda revealed that it hindered his creative process and exacerbated his anxieties.
Reflecting on his earlier career days, Shmurda admitted that smoking weed negatively impacted his studio sessions, causing him to feel lost and disconnected. Recognizing that it was no longer conducive to his productivity and mental health, he made the bold choice to quit.
