Unveiling The Impostor In Rivers: Fake Doctor Nabbed By NMA

Eko hot blog reports that The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) in Rivers State has cracked down on a fake medical doctor, thereby unveiling the impostor, Mr. Echi Igbo Michael, exposing his fraudulent activities. Led by Dr. Ebbi Robinson, the Anti-Quackery Committee apprehended Michael during an interview for a medical officer position at Port Harcourt Military Hospital.

“Enough is enough with these impostors endangering lives,” stated Dr. Robinson, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation. The association revealed that Michael, a graduate in Banking and Finance from Cross River State University of Science and Technology (CRUTECH), had masqueraded as a medical doctor for the past two years.

Dr. Hope Avundaa, the state secretary of NMA, disclosed that Michael’s arrest followed a tip-off after he applied for an NMA identity card. Investigations uncovered falsified documents, including a counterfeit MBBS certificate from the University of Port Harcourt (2017) and a fabricated MDCN full registration certificate (2023).

The fake doctor had deceived authorities by posing as a staff member of Port Harcourt Military Hospital while applying for the association’s ID card.How he will be unveiling the impostors.

The NMA affirmed their commitment to prosecuting the impostor, expressing gratitude to the military hospital authorities for their collaboration in bringing him to justice.
