Hard Work Is Key To Success, HOS Tells Students At Ramadan Lecture

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro, has charged students to embrace hard work and diligence in their studies, emphasizing that it is the path to academic success and increased employability in the future.

Agoro delivered this advice during the 2024 Education District II Ramadan lecture, held recently at Maryland School Complex.

“Ramadan is a period when every believing Muslim in the society identifies with the dictates of religion to benefit through physical and spiritual upliftments,” Agoro stated, urging students to be the kind of person that gives 120% in all their endeavors.

In her welcome address, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Education District II, Mrs. Anike Adekanye, commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for approving the program and supporting the education sector. She appealed to students and others to make hard work their watchword for excellent performance.

The guest lecturer, Sheik Abdul Rahaman Ahmad, described hard work as a consistent and dedicated effort put up to achieve results. “Everyone, including students and civil servants, must have set goals and invest time and resources to succeed,” he said, highlighting the development of strong work ethics, staying focused, prioritizing goals, and consistency as indispensable factors for success.

The event featured a quiz and Quranic competition among students from senior and junior secondary schools in Education District II, comprising Kosofe, Ikorodu, and Somolu zones. Schools with outstanding performances were presented with gifts and prizes.
