The statement, which was sent to Multichoice customers on Wednesday, said the increase was necessitated by the rise in the cost of business operations.
The increment will take effect on May 1, 2024, the company added.
“We understand the impact this change may have on you – our valued customer, but the rise in the cost of business operations, has led us to make this difficult decision,” Multichoice stated.

Multichoice announces Price Adjustment on DStv and GOtv Packages with effect from 1st May 2024. So why the increment when naira is appreciating against dollar? pic.twitter.com/n0AnVx7KEn

Went to the Supermarket today to get foodstuffs & the price of everything has increased 20x. Got back home & I just received a text message from MultiChoice for price increase on my DSTV package.
But can we blame them this time? This economy is not helping anyone at all.
