1. 19 Arrested For Illegal Occupation Of Land In Lagos
The Lagos State Special Taskforce on Land Grabbers (LSSTFLG ) has arrested 19 alleged land grabbers for offences bothering on trespassing, illegal occupation, forceful land take- over and prevention of lawful entry by violence.
2. South African Airways Embark On Strike
Employees at South African Airways (SAA) will go on strike from today over the airline’s plan to cut more than 900 jobs, the workers’ union has said.
3. 14-Man Committee Inaugurated By FG
To block leakages , the federal government has inaugurated a 14 -member ministerial committee, to ensure that revenues generated by artisanal miners are properly streamlined in the country.
4. Bayelsa Poll: INEC Commences Distribution Of Sensitive Material
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has hinted that it would commence the distribution of sensitive material ahead of the gubernatorial poll in Bayelsa State.
The International Human Right Commission IHRC, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and security agencies to take proactive measures in tackling insecurity and logistical issues ahead of the Saturday’s gubernatorial polls in Bayelsa and Kogi State.
