Concurrently, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has announced plans for a nationwide protest. Scheduled for May 7th, 2024, the demonstration seeks to address fuel scarcity and power outages.
Akinteye Babatunde, NANS Senate President, expressed disappointment over the ongoing energy crises’ impact on students.
“The government’s failure to tackle these concerns effectively has left us frustrated,” Babatunde stated.
Furthermore, NANS alleges that the leadership of Kyari and Adelabu has severely mismanaged vital resources. This mismanagement, they claim, has plunged the nation into turmoil.
