The university community mourned Aishat Yahaya Olabisi, a 300-level student. They found her lifeless body in her accommodation after she returned from an exam.

A male student suggested intense exam pressure contributed to her tragic demise. “She appeared healthy before writing her first exam,” he stated.
However, the university dismissed reports of her death occurring on campus premises. In an official statement, they clarified the circumstances.
“We refute claims of discovering her corpse in the hostel,” the statement read. It provided a detailed account.
According to the university, Olabisi spent her last evening dedicatedly studying. The next morning, after breakfast, she planned to rest before resuming studies.
Sadly, concerns arose when she became unresponsive in the afternoon. Investigations revealed she had passed away in her off-campus residence.

Promptly, authorities transferred her remains to the university clinic for confirmation. To ascertain the sudden death’s cause, they ordered a postmortem at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
The university conveyed condolences as Olabisi received a solemn farewell on April 24th. Her grieving parents from Ilorin attended the ceremony.
