Eko hot blog reports that In a recent statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed fingers at the Baltic countries, accusing them of fostering a hostile environment that has resulted in the severance of most ties with Russia.

Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the ministry, emphasized the strained relations, highlighting the capitals of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia Vilnius, Riga, and Tallinn respectively as key players in the rift.

Zakharova asserted that due to the Baltic states’ antagonistic stance, all forms of interstate, interdepartmental, regional, and sectoral connections with Russia have been cut off.

She emphasized Moscow’s intent to employ diplomatic measures to influence the Baltic countries, without specifying the nature of these actions.

The tension between Russia and the Baltic states escalated recently, with Estonia accusing Russia of breaching international airspace regulations by disrupting GPS signals.

Additionally, concerns over what the Baltic countries labeled as Russian espionage have been raised by NATO.
