Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, had purchased a G-Wagon worth N27 million but had only paid N13 million upfront.
Despite the car dealer’s persistent efforts to collect the remaining N14 million, the singer refused to pay, often citing issues with the vehicle itself.
Frustrated by Portable’s non-payment, the car dealer reported the matter to the authorities, leading to the singer’s arrest.
However, after meeting the bail conditions, Portable regained his freedom.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday night, the singer took an unexpected stance, advocating for support for the security agency. “Police is our friends,” he wrote, urging his followers to embrace the law enforcement body.

Reflecting on his recent ordeal, Portable expressed a philosophical outlook, stating, “I believe that every disappointment is a blessing.” He further added, “Star don’t beg to shine. Akoi Grace Wey No Dey disgrace.”
The singer’s newfound role as a police ambassador is undoubtedly a remarkable shift from his previous legal troubles. Whether this transformation is genuine or merely a strategic move remains to be seen.
