Edgal Assumes Office As Ogun Commissioner Of Police

Former commissioner of Police in Lagos State , Edgal Imohimi , on Monday, assumed office as the Ogun State commissioner of police.

Imohimi took over from Bashir Makama , who spent seven months in the state before his deployment.

The new commissioner, who arrived at the Command’ s headquarters in Abeokuta at 11 am , was received by members of the state police management team led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations Department, Edward Ajogun .

In his address, the CP directed that all policemen serving in the state should return to their duty posts from wherever they were.

He said , “There is going to be physical headcount of all the personnel attached to the Command.
“All hands must be on deck to checkmate the activities of hoodlums, especially during the ember months and the Yuletide season. ”

The CP promised to deepen community policing to reduce crimes .
