Eko Hot Blog reports that in a profound moment of grief, Lagos State’s Federal Commissioner at the National Population Commission, Barrister Olayinka Oladunjoye, has described the death of former Lagos APC Welfare Secretary, Alhaja Ramota Bankole, as a “bitter pill to swallow.”

Alhaja Bankole passed away in the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, where she was performing Hajj.
The news of her demise, which broke on Thursday, has sent shockwaves through the Epe community and the wider Lagos political sphere.
Barrister Oladunjoye, in a heartfelt condolence message, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of her “beautiful sister,” highlighting the deep personal and communal impact of Alhaja Bankole’s passing.
“My heartfelt condolences to the family, the political class, friends, and well-wishers on the passing of my beautiful sister, Alhaja Ramota Bankole,” Barrister Oladunjoye shared.
“May Allah forgive her sins, expand the grave for her, and grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus.”
She also found solace in the fact that Alhaja Bankole passed away in the sacred city of Mecca.
“Unto your hands, we commit her soul. A very bitter pill to swallow. It is well with us all. Amen,” Oladunjoye stated, mourning the loss of a political enigma and cherished sister.
Alhaja Bankole’s untimely demise marks the end of a life dedicated to service, sacrifice, and the socioeconomic and political development of the Epe Division and Lagos State at large.
