‘Partner With FG On PHCs Adoption And More’ — Tunji Alausa Charges Nigerian Physicians In The Americas
Tunji Alausa has charged Nigerian Physicians in the Americas to partner with FG on PHCs adoption and more.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Federal Government is seeking a collaboration with members of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA) on various healthcare administration issues in Nigeria.

The Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa, sought the collaboration at the ANPA annual convention which kicked off on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, and will conclude on Sunday, June 23, 2024.
The minister mentioned possible areas of collaboration to include Medical Education with Medical Schools, Manpower synergy with Tertiary Hospitals, Adoption of Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs), Research, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
He noted that the time is ripe for Nigerian physicians in the Americas to make positive contributions to the development of the healthcare system in Nigeria.
According to Dr. Alausa, the physicians can leverage the expertise they’ve acquired abroad to help their fatherland.

“This is the time for ANPA and its members collectively and individually to join hands with government in our homeland to take health care in Nigeria to its deserving place in the committee of Nations that we can all be proud of,” the minister said in his address to the ANPA convention.
“Please don’t be left behind in this change that has come to Nigeria for the better.
“History will not look kindly at those who could make positive contributions but choose to fold their arms and only criticize.
“The expertise you have acquired here can be leveraged upon to enhance the healthcare system in Nigeria.
“Your proficiency in advanced medical technology, evidence-based practice and research, patient care standards, and organizational leadership is invaluable in this regard.
“As the torchbearers of change, we, in the Federal Ministry of Health will continue to collaborate with you to share mutual knowledge, and work in tandem towards mentorship and training, advocacy and policy change, Community outreach and Health Education, Partnerships and Collaborations with the aim of strengthening the health system of our dear country.”
He further expressed confidence that a collaboration with Nigerian physicians in the Americas can create a more inclusive, effective, and responsive healthcare system in Nigeria.
“By implementing these strategies, we can make significant differences in the lives of millions in our motherland,” the minister stated.
