Eko Hot Blog reports that a recent terrorist attack in Maidabino village, Danmusa local government area of Katsina state, has resulted in the deaths of at least seven villagers, with several others reportedly abducted.
According to eyewitness, most of the victims are women and children who were taken to a nearby forest.
The incident saw armed assailants invade the village, shooting indiscriminately for about three hours to instill fear among residents.
Tragically, those killed were reportedly set on fire by the attackers.

Investigations revealed that the perpetrators, armed with sophisticated weapons, also razed several houses, shops, and motor vehicles belonging to the villagers, causing millions of Naira in damages.
Confirming the incident, the Police Spokesman in Katsina state, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, responded to inquiries via text message on Sunday, stating, “Yesterday, June 22, 2024, at about 2000 hrs, armed bandits in their numbers, armed with dangerous weapons, shooting sporadically, attacked Maidabino village, Danmusa LGA, where they shot and killed about 7 persons.”
ASP Sadiq assured that investigations are underway and further updates will follow as the situation develops.
