FG Receive 103 Deported Citizens From Turkey At Abuja Airport
103 Nigerian citizens were deported from Turkey and arrived in Abuja on June 28, 2024, greeted by various government agencies; they claim unfair treatment in Turkey.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that 103 Nigerian on Friday citizens arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.
They were deported from the Republic of Turkey, arriving on a Southwind Airlines flight with registration number TC-GRB at approximately 6:45 pm, landing at the airport’s pilgrims’ wing.

Various government agencies, including the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), and military personnel, were present to receive them.
While it remains unclear if the deportees had committed any offenses in Turkey, the returnees expressed their dissatisfaction, recounting that they were treated unfairly in the European country.
According to their accounts, they were held in detention by the Turkish authorities for over 11 months before being deported.

As a result, they urged the Nigerian government to advocate for them and recover their belongings.
