Tinubu Reacts to Plateau School Building Collapse
President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences and shock over the tragic collapse of a school building in Plateau State.
Eko Hot Blog had earlier reported that the building which collapsed for reasons yet unknown, reportedly resulted in the deaths of over 22 students.
In a statement, Tinubu said he received the news with “profound grief” and described the incident as a “huge loss to the nation” and a “devastating development too excruciating to imagine”.
He commended the emergency responders, including NEMA, SEMA, security agencies, and citizens involved in the search and rescue efforts.

The President assured the people of Plateau State of his “fervent support at this difficult time” and condoled with the bereaved families, families of all the victims, and the people and Government of Plateau State.
The incident occurred on Friday when a two-storey school building collapsed in the Busa Buji community, trapping over 120 students.
The Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency, Sunday Àbdu, confirmed that 17 people had died, with the casualty figures still changing.
According to Abdu, 13 bodies were at Bingham University Teaching Hospital Jos, with 43 people receiving medical attention.
OLA Specialist Hospital had over 40 people receiving attention, while Plateau Specialists Hospital had four bodies with 40 people receiving treatment.
Some casualties were also evacuated to the Jos University Teaching Hospital.
