Eko Hot Blog reports that the former President of the United States Donald Trump has survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Late Saturday night, a gunman shot at the former president while he was addressing supporters, with a bullet grazing his ear, leaving him bloodied.
While Trump narrowly survived death, one of his supporters was not as lucky as he was shot dead. Two others were injured in the shooting.
The shooting took place after the former president just started his speech.
He grabbed his right ear with his right hand, then brought his hand down to look at it before dropping to his knees behind the podium.
Security agents then swarmed Trump, before he emerged and pumped his fist in the air, appearing to mouth the words “Fight! Fight! Fight!”
He was later whisked from the stage and ushered into a vehicle.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said Trump is “safe” after being escorted off the stage with blood on ear and cheek.

Secret Service, saddled with the protection of top US officials, said its personnel killed the suspected shooter.
Authorities declined to identify the gunman, the spectator who was killed or the two individuals who were wounded. A state police official said all of the victims were adult men.
The FBI said it was still trying to determine a motive. Authorities said there is no reason to believe there is any existing threat.
They said the scene was still being cleared, with suspicious items around the shooter’s body still being assessed.
Meanwhile, Trump has reacted to the close shave, saying it was incredible that such an act could take place in the US.
He, however, thanked the Secret Secret Service and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that took place in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country,” he said.
“I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.
“Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
His rival, President Joe Biden said he was grateful to hear that Trump was safe and doing well.
“I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information,” he wrote on X.
“Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.”
The attack was the most serious assassination attempt on a US president or presidential candidate since Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981.
