Nigerian Govt Names Rufai Abdul Dachi as New Medical Director for FMC Misau
The federal government has appointed Dr Rufai Abdul Dachi, as the substantive pioneer Medical Director for the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Misau, Bauchi State.
Dachi’s appointment letter was presented to him by the State Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dr Tunji Alausa, in Abuja on Monday.
Dr Alausa, while congratulating Dr Abdul on his new appointment, reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to enhancing every sector, including healthcare.
The minister also announced that the ministry plans to enrol over 100,000 nurses into nursing schools before the end of the year, with 64,000 already enrolled.
FMC Misau, he said, will include a nursing school as part of this initiative.
He noted that this move is expected to significantly strengthen and improve the health sector.
In his address, Dr Abdul expressed appreciation for President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda, which, he acknowledged has already made a considerable impact on the health sector.
He assured the Ministry of Health that he would not disappoint, pledging to work tirelessly to provide quality healthcare services to the people.
Before his appointment, Dr Dachi served as the Deputy Clinical Manager at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi State.
