A massive assault by Russia has left at least three people dead and many more injured, with widespread destruction reported across Ukraine.
The attack, which began on Monday morning, targeted multiple cities, including Kyiv, and affected over half of the country’s regions.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal confirmed that 15 regions were hit, with the attacks focused on energy infrastructure.
“There are wounded and dead,” he said, adding that the strikes used a range of weapons, including drones, cruise missiles, and supersonic missiles.
The barrage of attacks has caused significant damage to infrastructure, with power outages and water disruptions reported in many cities.
Emergency blackouts have been imposed, and energy company DTEK is working to restore electricity supplies.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Russia has destroyed half of Ukraine’s electricity-generating capacity.
As the situation continues to unfold, Ukraine’s allies are being urged to allow long-range attacks on Russia with Western-supplied weapons.
Andriy Yermak, President Zelensky’s chief of staff, made the request on Telegram, emphasizing the need for support in the face of Russia’s relentless aggression.
The attack has also sparked a response from Ukraine’s military, with a surprise offensive launched into Kursk, Russia.
While the effort has been deemed unsuccessful, Ukraine remains determined to defend its territory and push back against Russian advances.
As the conflict rages on, the international community is watching with bated breath, hoping for a swift resolution to the devastating war.
