NiDCOM Chairman Abike Dabiri-Erewa Unveils Identity of Nigerian Woman Behind Hate Speech Video
The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has revealed the identity of a Nigerian woman living in Ontario, Canada, who was captured in a disturbing video advocating for the mass poisoning of South-Westerners and the people of Benin, Edo State.
The woman, identified as Amaka Patience Sunnberger, made the shocking statements during a TikTok live session, where she called for the deliberate poisoning of food and water sources targeting the Yoruba and Benin people.
In the video, which has since gone viral on social media, Sunnberger spoke in Pidgin English, urging others to join her in the deadly act. She brazenly declared her intention to poison her co-workers, stating, “It is time to start poisoning the Yorubas and the Benins… I will put Otapiapia (rat poison) inside your waters and foods. You people will never get well.”

Her alarming remarks were met with reminders from others in the live meeting to consider using other poisons, including “Eat and Die” and “Sniper.”
Sunnberger, undeterred, continued her rant, expressing deep-seated hatred and urging Igbos to act with similar malice. “I want Igbos to have a heart of wickedness. You people are too quiet. You are too cool. Enough is enough,” she said, adding that her goal was to eliminate those she deemed “foolish” and “of no use to society.”
In response to the video, Abike Dabiri-Erewa confirmed that Canadian authorities have been alerted to Sunnberger’s actions. Through her X (formerly Twitter) account, Dabiri-Erewa shared Sunnberger’s picture and stated, “This is the picture of the lady behind the voice. Amaka Patience Sunnberger. She has deleted her TikTok account, and a group of Nigerians in Canada are reporting her officially to the relevant authorities in Canada. Thanks for alerting everyone.”
