Ooni Of Ife Rejoices As Fourth Wife Olori Folashade Gives Birth To First Child
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his fourth wife, Olori Folashade, have welcomed their first child together.
The monarch announced the joyful news on his social media today.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that he wrote, “To God be the glory, great things He has done. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the mother’s side of the Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of Lafogido Ruling House and the father’s side of the Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of Giesi Ruling House, united on the Royal throne of Oduduwa.
“Mother and child are doing well to the glory of God Almighty and in line with the spirits of our ancestors.”
The monarch married Olori Folashade in October 2022.
Meanwhile, the Ooni shared insights into his personal style, revealing that he does not wear wristwatches and has a passion for designing his own shoes.
In a recent interview with journalists in Lagos, where he discussed his grand plans for his upcoming 50th birthday, the Ooni explained that he avoids wristwatches because he believes time belongs to God.
“For me, every second counts, so why should I be looking at it every second?” he remarked, emphasizing that not wearing a wristwatch helps him stay spiritually connected.

He also shared that he learned shoemaking as a child and continues to design his own shoes to this day, proudly stating, “I design all my shoes till date.”
