His death was first confirmed by his colleague, Alayo Melody, through a heartfelt social media post.

Melody expressed disbelief and grief, writing, “Dele Gold died kee?? Ahhh This is getting too much ooo!!!! May God help us stop this untimely death. Dele Agbeyo May your soul rest well.”

Gospel singer Wonder Doyin Kujore also took to Instagram to share his condolences. His post read, “Nothing in this world… let us live today and leave tomorrow for God. It saddens my heart to post about those who die prematurely, but I have to pay my last respects. Rest in peace Dele Agbotikuyo, Dele Gold.”

Born in Usi, Ekiti State, Dele Gold was raised in Faforiji, Osun State.

His cultural background played a key role in his musical style, which often featured Yoruba proverbs and praise in his songs, adding meaning to his messages.

Dele Gold was also the CEO of Prodel Music, a music label and production company.

Dele Gold’s career took off under the mentorship of Juju music icon Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi. Their collaboration in 2019 in his album “Hearty blessing,” was a high point in Dele Gold’s career, and he often credited Obey’s guidance for shaping his music journey.

He was also a younger brother to Mr Tope Agbeyo, a philanthropist and chairman Cornfield Group of Companies.

In a tragic coincidence, the entertainment industry faces another significant with the death of
Nollywood actor and producer Shina Sanyaolu.

Shina, your generosity knew no bounds, and your spirit touched countless lives. As you journey to eternal rest, greet your dear friend Babatunde Omidina, also known as Baba Suwe. Your legacy will live on in the hearts you’ve touched.”

Media personality Doyin Ola shared a touching memory on Facebook, recalling a recent photo with Sanyaolu and expressing her sorrow.

“It’s hard to believe that just two years ago, this picture from an industry event was sent to me by Mr. Sam Anwuzia on August 20th 2024, and I was holding onto it to eventually share with you. Then, I read the sad news today. It’s heartbreaking. May your soul rest in peace, Egbon Shina Sanyaolu.”

Journalist Jimi Akinniyi also expressed his disbelief and sadness, writing, “Absolutely and Completely Unbelievable that you’re gone. Rest In Peace Shina Sanyaolu.”
