EKO HOT BLOG reports that initial rumors had suggested that the couple perished due to an explosion caused by dynamite or an inverter battery. However, Ukandu clarified that it was a gas explosion, though investigations are still ongoing.
Chioma passed away five days after the explosion, while her husband succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Wednesday. The explosion occurred shortly after the couple moved into their new home in Abakiliki.
Ukandu stated, “The preliminary report shows that it was a gas explosion that killed Chioma, not dynamite or a battery, although further investigation is still ongoing.”
While Chioma’s full identity has not yet been established, there are speculations that she may have been the sister of popular Afrobeats singer, Patoranking.
