PDP Accuses Presidency Of $2 Million Plot To Rig Edo Election
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the Presidency of plotting to rig the upcoming Edo State governorship election, alleging that $2 million has been distributed to compromise INEC officials, security personnel, and buy votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Monday Okpebholo.
The PDP claims the Presidency has ordered security agencies to disrupt elections in PDP strongholds to favor the APC.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in response, the APC dismissed these accusations as baseless and a distraction tactic, while asserting that the PDP’s history of election rigging may be influencing their claims.
Despite the allegations, the PDP remains confident of victory, calling for a free and fair election and urging President Bola Tinubu to uphold peace and integrity during the process.
The PDP also called on the President to prioritize the safety and peace of Edo State and Nigeria by ensuring a credible election.
The APC, however, responded through National Deputy Organising Secretary Nze Chidi Duru, accusing the PDP of projecting its past misconduct onto the current administration and challenging the party to provide proof of their allegations.
