Lagos State Government have issued contravention notices to 67 property owners, including big names like Farm City, Jonah Court, DHL, and Polo Avenue, for encroaching on the Lekki Waterfront setback.
According to Hon. Yacoob Ekundayo Alebiosu, the Honourable Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, these properties are occupying the waterfront illegally and are in clear violation of the Lagos State Waterfront law No 3 of 2009.
Alebiosu is urging all concerned property owners to report to the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development with their documents and titles, or risk being sealed or demolished.
