Accept Your Postings, No More Relocation – NYSC To Corps Members
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has urged prospective corps members to accept their postings with a positive attitude and avoid seeking relocation. This call was made by the Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Keffi, Nasarawa State, on Tuesday.
Ahmed encouraged the corps members to quickly integrate into their assigned communities and actively engage in nation-building and development efforts. He stressed that accepting their service postings in good faith would enable them to make meaningful contributions to their host communities.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in his speech, the Director-General said, “Accept your postings in good faith and resist the temptation to seek reposting. Begin to make a meaningful impact as you have been trained to do. Focus on making positive contributions in your host communities and serve as exemplary ambassadors of your families, the NYSC, and the nation at large.”
Ahmed emphasized that the positive impact corps members make in their communities will continue to underscore the importance of the NYSC scheme in Nigeria’s development.
He also highlighted the NYSC’s commitment to ensuring the security and welfare of all corps members. However, he advised them to take personal responsibility for their safety by adhering to essential security protocols and avoiding risky behaviors that could endanger their well-being.
The NYSC, through a press release by its acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, reaffirmed that corps members are vital to the development of their communities and the nation, encouraging them to embrace the values and responsibilities of service.
