EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to a reliable source who requested anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the discussions, the meeting focused on addressing key issues within the PDP as the party navigates its current political challenges.

The G5, known for its significant influence within the PDP, has been outspoken about its demands for strategic changes within the party.

In the run-up to the 2023 Presidential election, the group made headlines by insisting on the removal of then-PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, in favor of a Southern representative as a condition for their support of the party’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The source confirmed the recent meeting, stating, “Yes, they met briefly on Friday to discuss matters as friends and colleagues. The discussion centered around the PDP and other issues they deemed important. They also reviewed their strategies. Another meeting may take place tomorrow (Saturday).”
