Edo Election: Aiyedatiwa Congratulates APC’s Okpebholo, Praises Peaceful Poll
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has expressed his reaction to the results of the September 21 Governorship election in Edo State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the election held on Saturday.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in his response, Aiyedatiwa extended his congratulations to Okpebholo and his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, on their victory.
As the Chairman of the APC Election Planning and Strategy Committee for the Edo election, Aiyedatiwa shared his thoughts in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The governor expressed gratitude to the people of Edo State for entrusting the governance of the state to the APC.
“I congratulate our party, the APC, Senator Okpebholo, and Hon. Idahosa on their well-deserved victory in the Edo State governorship election,” Aiyedatiwa stated.
“I join millions of our party members in giving thanks to God for granting us a peaceful victory and reclaiming Edo into the fold of progressives where it rightfully belongs.”
He also acknowledged the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for ensuring a free, fair, and peaceful election in Edo State, and praised the party’s leadership, including National Chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, for their efforts in securing the victory.
Governor Aiyedatiwa further commended the peaceful conduct of Edo State residents before, during, and after the election, expressing confidence that Senator Okpebholo’s vision will positively transform governance in the state through the implementation of progressive policies and programs.
